Morpheus8 is a sub-dermal adipose remodeling device (SARD) that utilizes the combination of radio-frequency and fine needles to create controlled injuries that create remodeling of the skin’s building blocks that stimulate collagen production. Morpheus8 micro needles penetrate up to 4 mm deep into the skin, creating tighter skin while melting fat.  There is little to no downtime with this procedure and the results are amazing.

What type of results may be achieved with Morpheus8?

Radiofrequency (RF) is energy that has been scientifically shown to reduce wrinkles and tightens skin. Utilizing this energy, Morpheus8 delivers RF energy below the skin with the use of fine needles that can penetrate up to 4 mm deep with thermal energy penetrating up to 5 mm, creating fewer wrinkles, reducing scar tissue, and melting unwanted fat. Additionally there is almost no downtime involved with these procedures. Typical treatment areas include nasolabial folds, jowls, neck, and under the chin.

Morpheus8 FAQs

Morpheus8 Skin Tightening can be used on any areas of the skin that can benefit from skin tightening and rejuvenation.  All skin types can safely be treated as Morpheus8 is colorblind.  Skin tightening energy is delivered deep in the sub-dermal layer reducing risk of hyper pigmentation.  Any areas of the face and body with the skin laxity, wrinkling, discoloration, and acne can be safely treated.  Body contouring can also safely be achieved with Morpheus8 technology.

First, the treatment area is prepared by applying a topical anesthetic to the area about 30-45 minutes prior to the procedure. Once sufficient time has lapsed for effective discomfort relief to occur, the treatment area is thoroughly cleansed. The morpheus8 treatment will begin next. The treatment will take about 30 minutes to an hour depending on the area being treated. For any break through discomfort that may occur, a special combination of nitrous oxide and oxygen will be available for use at the patient’s discretion. This anesthetic has a rapid onset but is short acting. This means you will be able to drive home safely without the need for a ride home.  Following the treatment, the skin is cleansed again and a special preparation will be applied to the treatment area that is specific for your skin.

Optimal results are usually seen after three treatments, however after the first treatment 3-7 days later you will likely see some results. Not all patients will require three treatments some require less and some may require more it all depends on your situation. Treatments are scheduled about 4 weeks apart. Usually about three weeks after a treatment the most noticeable results will occur. Results will also continue to improve for up to 4 months as the treatment is stimulating new collagen production and remodeling. Results are permanent but do not prevent future aging. This is why we recommend maintenance treatments to be performed every 6 months to a year.

Morpheus8 treatments are outpatient procedures performed using topical analgesia to reduce discomfort as well as inhalation analgesics to reduce anxiety and or discomfort. Immediately following the procedure, there may be swelling redness and mild discomfort similar to sunburn. Areas with thinner skin may develop more swelling and redness for a longer duration of time. During the consultation, we will discuss how to prepare your skin best to help minimize discomfort and decrease swelling. Prepared skin will achieve the best results.

Post procedure you will want to avoid direct sun light for several weeks to minimize hyperpigmentation of the treatment area. The day after your treatment, we recommend use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 30+ on a daily basis to protect against the aging effects of the sun and a daily gentle moisturizer.
